Wichita Audubon Field Trip

Washington State

Fourteen members of Wichita Audubon traveled to the Pacific Northwest for a week of birding on our annual extended field trip.  There is a great variety of habitats in Washington.  Our goal was to sample the bird life in many of them; temperate rain forest, coniferous forest, alpine/parkland, shrub-steppe, coastal waters and pelagic.  Everyone arrived in Seattle by Sunday the 24th and Monday morning we all loaded in two 12-passenger vans to begin our journey.
